Although we play mostly Blues Classics, we are not a cover band. We try to put our stamp on every song. We never intended to be a dance band, so we were surprised by how many weddings and dance parties we've done. We do get those feet tappin' and those fingers snappin'. When we slow things down we go right for the heart. We are dedicated to the expressiveness engendered in the blues and, for us, it's about the arrangements, musicianship and the singing. We have a fresh, dynamic approach--never dull and we rarely play songs the same way twice!

The Magic Frank Blues Band puts on a Chicago-style Blues Show with guest stars like exciting vocalists Ty Stone and Joi Leavelle, Keyboardist Rob Waters, , Guitarist Eric Drazner and more.
About Us
Lindy Alo (Drums): Magic Frank's partner Lindy has been banging on those 1960 Gretsch drums since he was about 9 years old. Lindy studied with renowned Jazz Drummer Robbie Roberts. Lindy's first band was the successful "Crystal Spiders". He also played with other bands such as Bash, Bedlum, Blues on a Dime and Shorthanded. These bands had pushed Lindy further into the "Blues". Willie Rauch (Fender Bass guitar) always lays down a solid groove. He's an established member of the Chicago Blues scene. The musical map of his influences and experiences forms it's own delta with Chicago, Memphis and Detroit as its cardinal points. His bassist idols include Willie Dixon, Jack Meyers, Louis Satterfield, Mack Thompson, Calvin Jones, Willie Weeks, Leroy Hodges, Duck Dunn, Tommy Cogbill, David Hood, Bob Babbitt and, of course, James Jamerson. Look for this reticent low-rider in his natural habitat working the pocket in the engine room of the band's rhythm section.
